NEWT™ Customer Case Study: The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce

A non-profit requires performance at a great price because for them, the bottom line is everything. That’s why the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce chose the NEWT™ Managed PBX for their Business Phone System.
Established in 1973, on the heels of amalgamation of three diverse founding communities in the City of Cambridge – The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce was formed through a merger of two Chambers in Galt and Preston with the Hespeler Merchants’ Association.
Currently the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce is over 1880 members, making it the 2nd largest Chamber of Commerce/Board of Trade in the Province of Ontario.
A non-profit organization, the Chamber has two distinct divisions: The business division, focused on bringing local businesses together as a single voice helping to enhance the city’s economic prosperity.
Reliability in the communication with their members and with the general public is of paramount importance to the President and CEO, Greg Durocher, as is the bottom line when it comes to overhead.
As he said when Fibernetics came to him with the proposal to install the NEWT™ PBX Business Phone System, “We would have needed our heads examined if we didn’t accept it.”
